Under the pillow, down the sofa, behind the kettle. Locara is a bracelet that rings your phone, so you never ask anyone to call it again.

Ring

Your iPhone plays a loud alarm, even with the silent switch on, and lights up its lock screen.

Found

Pick it up and tap Found it, or press the clasp again. That is the whole product.

Try the clasp

Press and hold the clasp for one second. Turn your sound on first: this page will ring like your phone would.

Fair questions

  • Works with iPhone, with Android planned
  • Range: anywhere in your home, over Bluetooth
  • Price: not set yet, waitlist hears first
Does it really ring when my phone is on silent?

Yes. In our first test the iPhone rang out loud with the silent switch on. We are now testing it with the phone locked and the app in the background.

What about Do Not Disturb?

Honest answer: Apple limits what apps can do during Do Not Disturb. You can let Locara through in your Focus settings, and we will tell you exactly how well that works before you buy.

How far away can my phone be?

Locara uses Bluetooth, so it is made for your home: the bedroom, the sofa, the kitchen. It is not for a phone you left at the pub.

Is it a smartwatch?

No. No screen, no notifications, nothing to check. One button, and a bracelet you would wear anyway.

Do I have to keep the app open?

No, it works in the background. If you swipe the app away completely it stops listening until you open it again, the same as other phone finders.

When can I get one?

Locara is at prototype stage. People on the waitlist get the first ones and the first price.
